Weather

The weather at the end of August is variable. It can be pleasantly warm as it can be pretty cold but may be cool at night. Average temperature in Lausanne at this period is 16°C up to 22°C. Temperature of the water is 18°C up to 20°C.

Training facilities

There will be training areas for the athletes.

Swim
- Bellerive Swimming pool of 50 meters, not warmed but wetsuit allowed (free access for triathletes), 3 lines booked for the triathletes, from 9:30am to 1:00pm and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, from Monday 28 August to Saturday 2 September. No individual or team booking can be done.
- lake, accessible from Bellerive Swimming pool, one line from Monday 28 August to Saturday 2 September, free access.

Cycle : several training session with leaders on the circuit. For the details please refer to the schedule.

Run : free

Bike mechanic service

A booth at the Tri Expo will provide bike mechanic service to the athletes from August 26th to September 3rd, 2006.

ASI Photo is proud to have been selected as the Athletes's Photographers for the Lausanne 2006 Triathlon World Championships. ASI will photograph all triathletes and make these photos available via our website within a few days after the event.

1. Please be sure to have your start number visible at all times including the sticker on the FRONT of your bike helmet
2. SMILE when you cross the finish line!
