Insurance

Each competitor must aquire personal liability and health insurance which offers the legally necessary guarantees to compete in the 2006 Lausanne ITU World Championships unless their National Federation has a license system including such coverage.

Wetsuit policy

Elite, U23 and Junior: forbidden above 20ºC and mandatory below 14ºC. In between both temperatures wetsuits are authorized.

Age Group, AWAD: forbidden above 22ºC and mandatory below 14ºC. In between both temperatures wetsuits are authorized.

Aquathlon: wetsuit will not be allowed since there is no time for that. If the water is too cold, it will be a swim-run competition with wetsuit swim (instead of run-swim-run) and the distance of the first run will be added to the second run. It will be decided before the competition, when we will see the actual water temperature.
