Dear triathlon friends,

If my committee has still its eyes full of images of the Triathlon World Championships, it had to take its stick of pilgrim and to be motivated in in order to reorganize an international Triathlon on August 26th 2007.

The months which followed the World Championships enabled us to digest the accumulated stress, to learn the positive and negative lessons from a huge organization, while seeking the motivation to set out again in a modest way.

Thus I am pleased to officially announce to you that the 2007 Lausanne Triathlon will be held on the courses of last year's World Championships, that in 2008, we will be candidates to organize a Swiss Championship just after the Olympic Games in Beijing and that we are on the way to sign a contract with the International Triathlon Union to organize three World cups for the 2009, 2010 and 2011 editions.

In this same context, the idea of a new committee at the head of the Swiss Triathlon Federation, with new chairman Roland Leuenberger, is of very good omen, since, after only six months, most of the ditch dug between the Swiss Federation and the Lausanne organizer practically filled themselve.

The 2007 edition of the Lausanne Triathlon should be a festival for you, triathlon athletes, popular and elite which come year after year to enjoy our courses. We wish to see you all on August 26th, so that this festival of the popular triathlon is large, warm, courtoi, courteous and sporting.
